ADELAIDE SWORDS CLUB NEWSLETTER

Happy New Year, and we hope you’ve had a relaxing break!
The club opens Monday, 19th January
Saturday morning classes start on 31st January
Monday Night Youth Training starts back on 2nd February
Welcome to 2026 and the first newsletter of the year.

Membership is now due for 2026 - https://www.adelaideswordsclub.org.au/registration

ASC membership is linked to your FSA licence, so you can do it all in one! Also, please note that if you are not a member, you are not covered by insurance, so you can train but not fence. We’ll have a laptop at the club so you can join on the spot.

2026 Fees

A quick heads up that the fees for 2026 kids’ classes are increasing to $120 per term as we have increased our coaches’ rates, which are now in line with the Sporting Organisations Award rates.

2026 Kids’ Classes Terms

  • Term 1: 31st January – 4th April
  • Term 2: 2nd   May – 4th July
  • Term 3: 25th July – 26th September
  • Term 4: 7 Oct - 12 December

Training

Monday night Youth training starts back on 2nd February

Additional training

ASC, with the support of FSA, is in the process of locking in additional training on Tuesday nights, especially for fencers planning to go to the Australian Junior Championships and AYC Final. We’ll keep you updated.

Myka has decided it’s time to move on and will no longer be coaching at the club. We’d like to thank him for all his work and service to the club and wish him all the best for the future.
All the best,
